Our School
Learn to draw, build a portfolio, become an artist
Freie Kunstwerkstatt München is a private art academy that trains illustrators, graphic designers and freelance artists. We place great value on learning the necessary craft skills. We strive to be a creative community – one that makes room for personal development.
We offer a one-year foundation and orientation year. Building on this, students can complete a two-year professional training in illustration and graphic design or fine art at the Kunstwerkstatt. The Government of Upper Bavaria certifies that the foundation studies and training at Freie Kunstwerkstatt München properly prepare students for a profession. Our school has been at the heart of Munich for more than 40 years.
